Double SEA Games Gold Medalist & Records Holder
National Marathoner | @mokyingren | managed by ONEathlete
Mok self-coached himself with the assistance of several advisors such as Dr Kua Harn Wei and Mr Ramlan in the different triathlon disciplines and eventually went on to clinch the gold medal at the SEA Games in Thailand for triathlon.
After the Asian Beach Games in 2008 where Mok finished 12 out of 31 participants despite being a student athlete, he decided to change his focus towards pure Running as clinical years for medical schools start in Year 3 and that means more time spent traveling to hospitals and being on the feet for most times of the day. Running is less time consuming than cycling or swimming as there is no need for traveling to and fro the pool and one can run any time of the day.
Mok graduated with a Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery (S’pore) Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He has been in the business of guiding runners – both recreational and competitive for the past 5 years through various means including practical clinics, lectures, writing columns and as a coach.
