ONG Ren-ne

Double SEA Games Bronze Medalist
National Shuttler | @renstar97 | managed by ONEathlete

The sunny bright smiled girl took a leap of faith after completing secondary school in Raffles Girls School to pursue her passion in Republic Polytechnic. Albeit it proved to be a struggle to produce results in the first 2 years of training full time and competing overseas; she made the tough decision to switch from singles to doubles in 2017.

With that move, a very resilient Ren-ne worked doubly hard to catch up with her peers and seniors to narrow the gap with international sports-rivals. To no surprise, the hardwork paid off, and she was rewarded with some good results the past year. Juggling and balancing both academics and sporting commitments would never be an easy feat, and Ren-ne remains thankful, despite achieving both as a blue-eyed girl!
